Local Speaker Author launches successful national I-Radio Talk Show Series

13-week lunch show to debuted August 14th

 

VoiceAmerica conducted a nationwide search and invited Charlottean Ed Gash to host a weekly I-Radio talk show on the subject of Coaching and Leadership.  Gash was selected after an extensive search because of his background in Leadership Development and Coaching and Change Management.  His book “Beyond the Hashmarks” that debuted this spring proved to be the clincher.  “His knowledge of the subject combined with the readability and practicality as well as his personality makes him a natural,” said Bill Harral –Producer of the show.

 

While Gash has done many types of broadcasts and telecasts and presentations this medium will be new to him.  He has done some radio and a lot of television, but this will be over the internet.  “Many people listen to National Public Radio over the internet,” says Gash.  In this format, one logs onto VoiceAmerica.Com, minimize the screen and listen and go about their business.

 

Gash got his first choice in time slots.    “I want to attract a lunch audience,” he said.  In his experience in corporate America, he sees many people having the “corporate lunch’ or eating while working at their terminals.  Gash’s first show drew many call ins.  Show producers say it was the most call ins they have had on a first show in a long time!

 

The format features guests and attract call-in participation.  His book, "Beyond the Hashmarks" is used as a guide for the 13-week curriculum.  Even though it's designed as a 13-week course, listeners can still benefit if they aren’t able to tune in for all 13 weeks.  As Gash concludes, "The noon to 1:00 slot will provide many possibilities for people to ‘long in, lunch in, and learn”
